Sexual Health Education in Cambodia
We are currently consulting free of charge on a sexual health education curriculum in Cambodia.
We are helping medical professionals design, curate and deliver a curriculum to:
- Children – 11 – 17 years old
- Teachers – These men and women will continue delivering the sexual health education lessons we design to future generations of Cambodian children once the medical professionals leave.
Wonderfully, we are also being allowed to discuss LGBTQ+ issues as part of the curriculum – this is very encouraging and progressive and we are truly grateful for the chance to expand the syllabus and reach out to people who have traditionally been ostracised and attacked or even killed.
The first sexual health education lesson of the curriculum was delivered to 96 students between the ages of 11 and 17. It marked a historic occasion as it was the first time that LGBTQ+ issues were incorporated into a sexual health curriculum in Cambodia.
